We saved $1,000 by fueling this way…Let me tell you how you can also save $1,000

But wait, there’s more! Not only do you get to save money, but you don’t have to move your boat.

We called Gulfshore Dockside mobile fuel service to deliver fuel to our vessel and our friends’ vessel (Lil Sudden). The company is a full-service mobile fuel delivery business that services Southwest Florida from Fort Meyers to Marco Island.

Fuel delivery service coming to fill up our tanks

It was simple. They had long hoses that was able to reach us from the street. We just sat back and they filled up the tanks, cleaned up any drips, and went on their way.

Saga getting fuel while Lil Sudden waits patiently

The company has multiple tanks in the truck and can deliver both gas and diesel.

Diesel was $4.50 a gallon compared to $5.90-$6.80 a gallon elsewhere and they came to us. The bill for 589 total gallons for $2,741 (with tax)

So if you’re in need of fuel, take a look at a mobile fuel delivery service.

Curious, since off road fuel isn’t taxed the state and federal road use tax, what taxes did you pay? I know California hits fuel with a sales tax on top of road taxes, does Fla?

We had to pay sales tax as they provided a service of bringing it out to us. We did not have to pay road tax.
